Soulful Connections offers Sacred Feminine Circles to reconnect with your own sacred feminine energy, as well as the collective Yin energy of the land and the cosmos.

As the flow of creation has kept moving, we moved from a matriarchal existence that revered women and the gentle feminine energy as essential to life, essential to the balance of harmony with nature and the cosmos, to a patriarchal one, a hot and harsh approach to life that honours logic, reason and scientific proof as the blueprint of existence.

This is not to say that women alone should lead. Nor should men.

The recognition of this shift into male dominated life is an observation that has allowed us as a people, people of the earth to see that the balance of Yin and Yang, male and female, light and dark, harsh and gentle, have become imbalanced, causing a misaligned and frantic way of being that embodies the constant need to 'figure out' and 'solve' all our 'problems'. This way of being, when allowed to become the only way of being, carries the seeds of it's own destruction, as we have come to see, and a sense of balance is sought after a while of this overwhelm-ment of the senses.

We are now entering a time of this balance. A balance of the dual energies that has the potential to see the flow of life taking a more wholesome course and opening up doorways to new ways of doing, seeing, connecting... new ways of being. Being here, with the land, the sea, the stars. Recognising our connection to all that is and awakening to the realisation that we are all that is. All of us, men and women.

This realisation has the balance of the duality of physical life threaded within and we now understand there needs to be not a shift of power whereby women come in and overrule the men, but a harmonising of the energies. A flow within which we complement each other and balance each other out. The women, with our inherent cool and gentle ways that harness the power and guile of the moon, and the men with their solar governed apothegmatic conclusions.

Women of today reconnecting with their own sacred feminine energy is where this happens. It is the first portal to the new way of existing here on earth. Once we start reclaiming our innate power as the givers and carers of life, we create the energy that Yang can then empower from it's position. A beautiful reciprocity can then ensue that celebrates the constant motion of these energies, the white and the black of the Yion Yang in a delightful dance of give and take. We need not wait for this to be given back to us, the responsibility is ours to step up and reawaken it within ourselves. We are the givers of life, the nurturers, the lovers, the warmth and the home that others come back to. This is our birth rite, our purpose. It is our responsibility to keep this divine essence frequency tuned in to the cosmos through our hearts, our minds and our bodies.

A Sacred Feminine Circle culminates this energy,

this awareness,

this need to come together as women and sit in our own seats of love, compassion and bravery...

in all it's beauty.

Beauty here is not the standardised prescription of external beauty prevalent in mainstream modernity.

This beauty includes those parts you may term 'ugly' or 'unlovable' or 'unworthy' of recognition.

It is acknowledged for the raw and untamed wildness that it truly is.

So what does a Sacred Feminine Circle look like...?

Soulful Connections Sacred Feminine Circles are held at my home in my home Cockatoo.

We come together in the warmth of each others company to connect with, support and nurture ourselves and one another.

Each session will be themed, or centered around a certain topic. These topics will unfold as the Circles are experienced.

To start the Circle, we begin with some gentle breathing to really tune into ourselves and one another by aligning our energies through the power of the conscious breath. Conscious Breath-work is a powerful tool for healing.

It immediately affects the central nervous system, emotional body and mind, working to relieve, slow down, regulate, open up, calm, heighten and focus on the physical and energy self.

We begin an open conversation about the theme chosen for that session... this could be generational trauma, Death Mother Culture (The Mother Wound), The Otherworld... it could be any number of topics that we can air out with the purpose of connecting to in order to release (immediately or gradually) it both individually and collectively.

From here the direction we take is decided in the moment, whatever feels like the right path dependent upon reading the energy of the group. Below are a few examples of practices we can use to open our heart centers and reawaken our Goddess within...

Ho'oponopono

Ho'oponopono is a Hawaiian self healing practice that cleans up old subconscious patterns that block our true potential. This is a beautiful process, bringing to the light deeply ingrained belief systems, subconscious programming, childhood trauma and social conditioning for cleansing by the Divine. In order to release those stagnating energies within our emotional bodies that hinder the full and exquisite expression of our feminine energy, we must acknowledge them, love them, accept them as being there and being a part of us. The cleaning and clearing of these stuck energy memories then opens the floodgates to our Divine Feminine Essence, allowing it to pour through and inspire our innate creativity in this realm.

Guided meditation

Guided meditations are a great way to stay focused. There is a complete focus on the instructions given, which are picked up by your subconscious, whether you hear them or not. Guided meditations work wonderfully in group experiences as all participants, despite taking their own inner journeys of differing natures, are all being guided in the same way at the same time. This can have the same power as group prayer. In fact, it is a form of group prayer. We may not all be asking for the same thing, but we are all certainly entering the same frequency of one-ness, connection and love that vibrates as a collective energetic force.

Meditation in itself is an ancient healing practice that regulates the physiological systems as well as the mental and emotional bodies. It reduces stress and anxiety and increases focus and concentration long term. The open and soothing effect of meditation reduces negativity caused by modern lifestyle and opens the doors to the true self through raising our consciousness to connect with the collective energy of love. For we women, this means we can easily tune in to our Divine Feminine Essence and allow it to fill us up, whatever that looks like as it comes through. As much as we are affected during the meditation itself, the effects of it are long lasting and when practiced regularly, help to sustain connection with the divine energy of All That Is.

Nisargadatta Maharaj points out that “Meditation is a deliberate attempt to pierce into the higher states of consciousness.”

Dance

We may choose to dance! Dance has been enjoyed since the creation of our world as a way to creatively express the inner world and connect to the Divine. A free form dance, using the body to release itself to the sound of music is so very powerful, healing and cleansing. Doing this with others then allows for an amplified spiritual experience through shared intention and joy.

Group dance can be entrancing and often transcendental. It is used across countless cultures for medicinal purposes, curing illnesses and ailments of the mind and body, and ceremonial purposes to affect weather, honour the earth and the ancestors, tell stories and celebrate events. It is an immediate way to express joy and lightness, expelling negativity from the body.

On a physical level, dance utilises and combines the rhythmic use of the muscles, heart and breath to access the more complex parts of the brain to foster healing.

Sadhguru tells us that "...dance is an outpouring of human exuberance" and that all Indian Gods are dancing Gods, if they don't dance then they don't qualify as Gods!

Celtic culture has relied on dance for centuries to unite the people, coming together in celebration to foster a sense of community and one-ness. Dance Movement Psychotherapy uses Irish dance sequences to overcome psychological and emotional issues, while Irish set dancing is used as a therapeutic treatment for Parkinson's disease.

Open dialect

We may choose to simply keep talking, sharing stories, ideas and thoughts of certain themes. Authentic and meaningful dialect that goes deep down into the dark and swims through the layers and dimensions of the self is a powerful way to heal. Speaking about things openly in their rawness can clarify ideas and thoughts, open up ideas and practices, reveal new awareness, offer new interpretations, broaden perceptions and release emotional build up. It is a direct connection to the self, community, culture and ancestors, allowing us to gain insight and process our own thoughts. Expressing ourselves through voicing our truth is making our stamp on the energy of life.

“Words are, of course, the most powerful drug used by mankind” (Rudyard Kipling - English writer and philosopher)

During meaningful and honest conversation with those with whom we feel safe and supported by, we can reveal those parts of ourself that we often keep hidden away in the dark for fear of reprimand, insult and judgement. Coming together in connected conversations is something we women do so naturally and beautifully, and when used as a supportive healing practice it can certainly help us along our own paths to our self-awareness, life-awareness and innate wisdom. It is here we can build empathy and understanding of each others journeys and experiences that shape the emergence of the collective Sacred Feminine Energy.
